Handbooks

The citable canon every Bankai-consuming repository is built and reviewed against, per stack and per baseline.

Bankai-Handbooks is the single canonical source of the numbered, citable rules. A consumer never authors canon; it carries a generated, pinned mirror rendered from a tag of the handbooks repository, with a drift check. Reviewers cite rules by id and never invent them.

The UX baseline, as an example

The rules the UI reviewer cites, by id:

  • UX-1 — Sufficient contrast and a visible focus state
  • UX-2 — Operable by keyboard/switch with accessible names
  • UX-3 — Touch targets ≥ 44×44 and adequately spaced
  • UX-4 — Every async or state-changing action gives immediate feedback
  • UX-5 — Style through semantic design tokens, never raw literals
  • UX-6 — Deliberately designed components and vector icons — no raw defaults, no emoji icons
  • UX-7 — Responsive layout, no horizontal scroll, stable during load
  • UX-8 — Legible type scale and rhythm
  • UX-9 — Purposeful motion, 150–300ms, honoring reduced-motion
  • UX-10 — Persistent visible labels and inline, field-adjacent errors
  • UX-11 — Predictable navigation
  • UX-12 — Readable, non-color-only data visualization
  • UX-13 — Adapt the platform idiom, mirror the product
